Mulamwah is a talented Kenyan Comedian and a nurse by occupation. His original name is David Oyando. He joined the comedy business with a novel style that cracks the ribs of numerous Kenyans who need a shot of laughter. He is well recognized as Comedian Mulamwah in the business. Mulamwah’s Education and Comedy Career Background

David studied at St Anthony’s Boys’ High School in Kitale, where he received a straight-A in his KCSE examinations. He next Registered at Moi University in 2012 to study for his Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. This gave him enough time and freedom to at least enter the comedy associations that he was longing for so as to offer his ability.

On-campus, he entered the Christian Union, which presented him with the stage to showcase his comedy talents. He met his fellow scholars who had the same visions, and collectively they would act short dramas.

David grew up perpetually cherishing to be like comedians of all time, such as Vitimbi’s Mzee Ojwang’, Redykyulas’ KJ, Anthony Njuguna, Nyambane, and Mdomo Baggy of Red Kona and not to forget Kajairo. Mulamwah’s dad valued education so much that he didn’t permit him to join any acting organizations in the school.

His hope of presenting at Churchill’s show became valid. As he was still longing for this purpose, he suffered a hurdle of financial limitations though he was more resolved to chase the dreams.

During an interview on one of the conventional media platforms, Mulamwah revealed that he one day traded his phone to raise capital for the ticket to go to Nairobi and meet Churchill and furthermore to attend the auditions.

He made it to Nairobi, tried tryouts for three continuous years, which bore no fruits. His morale did not run low; he even appealed for an internship at the Kenyatta National Hospital so that he would be close to Churchill for more audition tests and even frequent to House Helps of Kawangware auditions.

Despite being unfavorable in his audition trials, Mulamwah still understood that something significant could still come to his side. In February 2019, Mulamwah posted a video of him doing a comedy about high school students and uploaded it on his Instagram profile. The video was excitedly received by many, went so viral, and eventually brought him to fame and kindled his comedy profession.

As per the Switch TV interview, The comedian favored choosing WhatsApp as his means of making his funny dramas go viral. He further stated that he chose the media because he craved to be unique, and the platform was less contentious compared to others like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.
